MINGDI MTB 27 Speed Mountain Bike 26” Bicycle with Disc Brakes
The Perfect Bicycle!
Ordering a bike online can be a real adventure. So
with a lot of trepidation I started opening the box containing my new Mingdi
mountain bike. The first thing I DID NOT Notice was where are the
additional parts, no handle bars, no pedals and no instructions (in
English). But as I started to focus my eyes, I was looking at a piece of
origami, everything was folded into the tightly wound package with more padding
than a ______ (you fill in the blank). So as I started snipping and cutting
away all of the cardboard and foam, there it was, a great looking bike.
Now without proper directions I was able to figure out how to put it
together. A few tips, the front fork needs to be twisted to bring the
fender attachment bar to the front of the fork. Another tip, the handle
bars need to be twisted to bring the shifters under the bar and brakes
above. The front wheel is a bit more difficult (actually it is the only
difficult part of the assembly). You will need loosen the front axle to
get room on each side to get the tire installed, you will need to squeeze the
fork a bit. The pedals have a right and a left, there is an L and an R on
the screw in part of the pedal, see picture. The seat and fenders are
quite simple to install. Once completed you will have a great looking
bike that is very well made. The Brakes are fantastic! Disk brakes,
no more little rubber pieces that truly were the worst part of my old bike,
hated trying to keep them aligned and adjusted. These brakes are the Bomb.
The front fork has a built in shock absorber that does its job well. The
seat is one of the new designed seats to help keep your sitting area
comfortable and "Healthy". This shape and design has been
recommended for a while now and helps protect that part of your body. The
handle bars are quite comfortable with a bit of personal adjustment and the
gears shift very accurately and fast reaction between each gear. The
shifter performed flawlessly even when shifting very quickly. I was very
happy with my first few rides. I was also surprised to find out about the
manufacturer of this bike, they are a huge company and make many bikes for
other well-known companies, so do not let that influence your decision. I
like this bike a lot and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade
or step up to a new level of riding. My
son is enjoying riding the bicycle. The
quality of the bicycle is amazing. It
will definitely wow you.
